When No Joke Records was formed in the early 1990’s by four friends, Ron, Fritz, Rob and Paul, a dream was born.  A dream shared by all four to create beautiful music for the world to enjoy!  We recruited new and sometimes existing talent.  Our everyday goal has been, and still is, to nurture these talents, whether through vocal training, physical exercise or just encouraging words.  Our goal is to make beautiful music simply by putting the artist first, above profit.

Over the years we collaborated with the likes of Brent Toussaint, Son Junior, Phillip Smart, Derrick Barnett, Kingston Studios and Dave McNair to record, produce and mix great sounds from artist like Dennis Brown, Luciano, Gyptian, Mickey General, Ras Do, Michael Palmer, Mickey Jarrett, JD Smooth and Kayla Bliss, just to name a few.  We even have amongst us, the famous and talented Jazz musician and teacher, Rashiim, who provides vocal coaching to our artist.

No Joke Records is dedicated to bringing beautiful and meaningful music to the world, so because of this, we produce no particular genre of music.  We explore any sound, R&B, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Soul, Gospel even Satires.   “Pushing the envelope” is something we are extremely proud of.
