Hailing from the somewhat famous village called Nine Mile in the parish of St. Ann, hometown to reggae icon, Bob Marley, music was always intrinsically woven into Star Social’s life. He got his start singing in the choir at Sunday church services in his grandmother’s church and eventually became the lead singer. As he got older, and more deeply inspired by other genres like reggae, dancehall, R&B, and hip hop, he started performing at pageants and other local functions.

“I want my music to reach an international audience. An audience that gets my melodic blend of reggae, r&b and a little gospel infusion, from start to finish.”

With encouragement from his community, he yearned to be involved in not just the singing, but all aspects of music creation and started hanging out at recording studios where he discovered his knack for constructing and engineering music. Soon, he started getting recognition from local artists who wanted him involved in their projects and he has engineered for Everlasting Production, Guh Hard Productions, and more.

Star Social is aiming for the international stage where he hopes to one day collaborate with genre-defining artists like Masika, Chronixx, and his inspiration, Jr. Gong.
